  • Hot and Sour Soup Concentrate is a dark brown, liquid soup concentrate with the traditional balance of peppers, vinegar and spices.
  • Make delicious and easy regional Hot & Sour soups with a recommended dilution with water of 1:10 for most soups. 1 part of Hot and Sour Soup Concentrate and 10 parts of water. This mix can be used as a broth for sipping or as a base.
  • Never worry about missing spices or adjusting for taste, everything is perfectly balanced and included.
  • For spicier flavor, add more Hot & Sour Soup Concentrate. For less spicy soup, add more water
  • To thicken about 5 C. of soup add 2 Tbsp. of cornstarch mixed with cold water. Add half of the mixture to the boiling soup. Stir and check the soup consistency. Add more of the cornstarch mixture if you want thicker soup, or add more water to thin it out.
  • For authentic Hot & Sour Soup (not vegetarian), beat an egg in a bowl, take the soup off of the heat, stir soup in circular motion while pouring the egg into the soup in a fine stream. This is how to make "egg threads".
