Make delicious and easy regional Hot & Sour soups with a recommended dilution with water of 1:10 for most soups. 1 part of Hot and Sour Soup Concentrate and 10 parts of water. This mix can be used as a broth for sipping or as a soup base.
Never worry about missing spices or adjusting for taste, everything is perfectly balanced and included in this ready-to-use sauce.
For spicier flavor, add more Hot & Sour Soup Concentrate. For less spicy soup, add more water
Add meat if desired; we recommend ground pork or sliced or diced chicken, cook these first, remove from pot and set aside. Use the same pot to make the soup.
Add diced tofu, bamboo shoots, mushrooms and chopped green onions for Vegetarian Hot & Sour Soup.
To thicken about 5 C. of soup add 2 Tbsp. of cornstarch mixed with 3Tbsp. of cold water. Add half of the mixture to the boiling soup. Stir and check the soup consistency. Add more of the cornstarch mixture if you want thicker soup, or add more water to thin it out.
